Is there an age limit?
Yes, there is an age limit at GGX. The festival is open for everyone aged 13 and older.
Should I bring my own gaming setup?
No, you should not bring your own gaming setup. Instead, you can play the games available on site, provided by our partners.
Where should I stay?
We have a special deal for GGX attendees!
Purchase a ticket to GGX and receive a 10% discount at La Mare Resort houseboats. For those who book a stay from Friday to Saturday, you’ll also get free access to the resort’s SPA, including a sauna and jacuzzi.

What are the opening hours to the festival?
Friday, Sep 20th:
Seminars at 10:00, and the festival opens from 13:00 to 19:00
(Festivities continue at bars and restaurants on Ringön.)
Saturday, Sep 21st:
11:00 to 19:00

Bag Policy
We will follow the rules of each venue. In general, large bags are not allowed, but smaller bags, such as handbags, are permitted.
Where do I pick up the wristband?
You can pick up your wristband for the rest of the event at Monument 031, Stålverksgatan 6.
How do I get to the event?
Our main hub is called Monument
(Stålverksgatan 6). The closest tram station is “Frihamnen” where tram 5, 6 and 10 goes. From there you take approximately 15 min walk to Monument.
Our tip is to walk along Järnmalmsgatan to get directly to the heart of Ringön. At Monument you will get your wristband to the rest of the event
Food and beverage
There is plenty of food at GGX! We have several restaurants and bars where you can buy a variety of delicious meals and drinks. Enjoy your time at Ivans pilsnerbar, Hey it's enrico pallazzo, Vega bryggeri, Stigbergets bryggeri, Monument, and Två Feta Grisar.
Will there be any cosplay?
There will not be any organized cosplay, but of course, you are welcome to come as you wish.
Will there be any international game developers attending?
No, only Swedish game developers will be present.
Photography and Filming?
We will be taking photos and filming during the festival, and the material will be used on our channels. If you see yourself in any photo or video and would like it removed, please contact us at info@ggx.se, and we will take it down.

Ringön, a historically significant part of Gothenburg's industrial heritage, remains largely industrial but has evolved into a vibrant, creative neighborhood. This area features a mix of breweries, techno clubs, and Caribbean-like conference venues. Located by the water and a short walk from central Gothenburg, Ringön blends industrial charm with modern creativity — and now, a gaming festival!
